The Spice Girls have been making waves for longer than I’ve been alive. 25 years! Yes, 25 years ago, 5 British girls invented ‘Girl Power’ and the world just hasn’t been the same since. I wish I could have lived through the beginning years of the Spice Girls but I can still take inspiration from their empowering messages and iconic fashion moments. Every girl has tried to replicate at least one look from the ‘Wannabe’ music video, maybe not intentionally, but with 90’s style making a major comeback, the Spice Girls provide a lot of outfit inspo. They were unapologetically individual and rebellious in their fashion choices which never goes out of style. They defined a whole decade of fashion and even 25 years later we still remember those iconic looks, Posh’s LBD, Gingers’ Union Jack mini dress, Baby’s platform gogo boots, Scary’s leopard print co-ord and of course Sporty making adidas trackies the height of fashion.

I had to start with the music video that really solidified their fame ‘Wannabe’. The girls karate kicked and peace signed their way to our hearts in their most iconic looks. Each of them are truly individual and represent their style impeccably. Each of these looks will always be celebrated.

And in 2019, the girls went back on tour (minus VB) and recreated some iconic looks, including the ‘Wannabe’ music video outfits. A more elevated and stage worthy version, but still so true to the original style they pioneered.
I absolutely adore this colour on Emma and it’s just the perfect level of tacky and extravagant. I’ve seen jackets like this making a serious comeback and I want in on this 90’s trend.
Victoria rocks the LBD better than anyone else and it became her trademark look. A look, that will never go out of style!

Every outfit in this music video is a winner for me. You could wear any of these in Autumn, window shopping (maybe with a few turned heads but that’s the fun). Knee high boots have made a serious comeback, along with the humble polo neck, the blazer, the leather jacket and, well, Scary’s coat is just fabulous!
Ginger Spice will always be associated with this cheeky number. The caption on Geri’s instagram post really says it all “follow your instincts and be yourself”.

We love to see the progression! I was breath-taken by the incredible recreation of the iconic dress for their 2019 reunion tour.

Mel B is such a natural beauty and she looks totally in her element in this grungy look for the ‘Say you’ll be there’ music video. the boots teamed with the mini skirt and corset gives us strong but feminine.
Mel C is so effortlessly cool. Her sporty style lets us all know that you look best in whatever you’re most comfortable in. She also gives girl next door vibes and is really relatable for the average young girl.
Girl boss energy! It’s very rare that all the girls wore the same thing but a pinstripe suit will always look good on everyone! No matter what decade, what your style is, it’s always going to be super chic and powerful.
Nothing to see here, just Sporty Spice looking like a modern day Superhero! This custom outfit, plus her athleticism and energy is extraordinary. The clothing brand who created this look and many others from the reunion tour are ‘Bang London’. They’ve created looks for divas such as Shea Coulee, Rita Ora and Christina Aguilera.

This look is so effortless and is the 90’s inspired look many young girls are trying to achieve now. The fresh faced makeup, her iconic hairstyle and the baby pink cami are all so cute and peak 90’s. I just want to know where I can get that necklace?

This outfit is incredible and the confidence to pull it off even more so! The co-ord is very much back but we haven’t reverted back to those crazy flatforms just yet.

This was my favourite look from the reunion tour. It just screamed Baby all grown up to me. Still so cutesy but with a sophisticated edge.

Babe alert! Posh Spice could always pull off a sexy look with the utmost sophistication. She holds herself with the poise and confidence that is needed to pull off a look like this.

This is an outfit I could see tearing down St.William street any given weekend. A mini dress will always be cute and Buffalo trainers are having a moment again.

The ‘Say you’ll be there’ video turned some serious looks but this one has to be my fave. A pleather dream.
The Spice Girls will always be remembered for those giant platforms but let’s not forget Victoria’s sophisticated strappy sandles!

Victoria Beckham may be a retired Spice Girl but even more of a fashion icon now with her own company!
It doesn’t seem like Scary will be retiring the leopard print any time soon!
A simple but effective look from Baby Spice.
A scrunchie and a sports bra will always be a look!
I can’t pick a favourite look from this line up!
The closing looks of the reunion tour were so magnificent. They were all so true to each of the girls style and how incredible does Scary look in that bodysuit?
Still turning looks, even for Pride 2021! The girls became LGBT icons and a reminder that you should always be yourself and express your individuality.
